With Lake Owen current water levels EXTREMELY high, boaters are asked to keep their boat speeds down to reduce wake levels and to prevent unsightly damage and erosion to the vulnerable shoreline. Wisconsin law,30.66 states:

“No person may operate a motorboat within 100 feet of any dock, raft, pier, or buoyed restricted area on any lake at a speed in excess of slow-no-wake.”

“No person may operate a personal watercraft at a speed in excess of slow-no-wake within 200 feet of the shoreline of any lake.”
