Native Plant Consultations
Native trees, shrubs, flowers, ferns, and grasses provide the back drop for the beautiful Northwoods scenery around Lake Owen. They also help to slow the flow of water and reduce nutrient loading and runoff to the lake while providing important habitat along the water’s edge.
Are you interested in improving habitat along your shoreline and reducing runoff into Lake Owen?
Do you have questions about how to best proceed?
The Lake Owen Association Lake Manager Cheryl Clemens has years of experience advising waterfront property owners in achieving these objectives. The Lake Owen Association can offer this technical assistance and, in some cases, cost sharing for plantings with the help of a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Lake Protection Grant.
Cheryl is scheduling limited visits for Lake Owen property owners this summer with the first round of visits the last week of June or first week of July 2020. Contact Cheryl for more information and to schedule a free consultation. Appropriate social distancing will be observed. harmonyenv@amerytel.net
