Join a Guided Group Bicycle Trip down the old railroad grade for a 3 miles trip north on an abandoned railroad grade from Lake Owen Station Road towards Drummond.   Where the railroad grade parallels the Long Lake Branch for the northern most 1 mile is a location where many turtles seek sunny, easy to dig nests in the cinder railroad bed at the height of digging their underground nests during the later part of June to 4th of July week-end.  This is a six mile out-and-back mountain bike trip with your own bike with tires 1 inch or wider  tires.  Please bring your own helmet.   Free event with limited attendance.  Meet at 9:00 a.m. on June 29, 2024. Rain date Sunday, June 30th starting at 9:00 a.m.  To get to the start location, take Lake Owen Station Road to the Lake Owen outlet/boat launch and continue southwest bound on Lake Owen Station Road/FR216 going 1.7 miles and just past the intersection of Lake Owen Station Road with Larson Road/Lover’s Bay Road to the Old Railroad Grade.
