Native trees, shrubs, flowers, ferns, and grasses provide the back drop for the beautiful Northwoods scenery around Lake Owen. They also help to slow the flow of water and reduce nutrient loading and runoff to the lake while providing important habitat along the water’s edge.

The Lake Owen Association Lake Manager Cheryl Clemens has years of experience advising waterfront property owners in achieving these objectives. The Lake Owen Association offers this technical assistance at no charge to landowners with the help of a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Grant. Note for cost-sharing eligibility there are minimum planting area and location requirements.
