August 24th, 10:00 am, leaving from the North Landing
Have you ever wondered WHY there are lakes? On a basic level, lakes exist because they are low spots on the landscape, but creation of these basins is rich in geologic history. Come join Dr. Dave Ullman for a tour of Lake Owen and a discussion of its geologic underpinnings. Dave Ullman is an Associate Professor of Geoscience at Northland College, specializing in Glacial and Surficial Geology.
